Stanley Park

I uncover you in mist
emerald ribbons
hyacinth buttons and fern lace
I follow points in a circle
jetty and wave
rock seagulls cry
picket white fence says 'members only'
we are a union
our love is a meditation
souls ephemeral
of time and place
a breath of sound
three years is a long time
in a moment a smile crosses my face
what is it?
we rise and descend a fine line
a twisted rain forest of
moist bark, growing and decay
the mist is our breath.
